New School Year, New School

This fall, Imagine Lincoln Public Charter School will be experiencing some exciting changes. Not only are we officially settled into our new school building at 4207 Norcross Street, in Temple Hills, but we will also be adding a new grade. With the start of the 2011-2012 school year, Imagine Lincoln now enrolls students in Kindergarten through Grade 8.

Despite theses changes, some things will remain the same: Our vision, as always, is to develop dynamic individuals through hard work, academic achievement and character education.

Handbook and Supplies List
The new Parent/Student Handbook and Class Supply lists for Imagine Lincoln are complete and have been posted on this website. Both documents are available for download. Most Improved School
Imagine Lincoln Public Charter School received national attention from Imagine Schools by showing significant improvement in the area of Academic Achievement. Additionally, Imagine Lincoln was recognized by Imagine Schools as the 2011 Most Improved School of the year. The awards were announced on July 13 during the Imagine Schools’ seventh annual National Forum in Phoenix, Arizona.

Imagine Lincoln’s overall math scores on the 2011 Maryland School Assessment (MSA) increased by 13.2%, the highest overall gains in Prince George’s County. Imagine Schools also measures annual individual student learning gains by administering the Stanford 10 standardized test in the fall and spring of the academic year, during which Imagine Lincoln students achieved average learning gains of a year or more in both Math and Reading, with 68% of students gaining more than a year in Math.

Imagine Lincoln Public Charter School is a member of Imagine Schools, a full-service charter school management organization that operates more than 70 schools across the nation and helps nearly 80,000 parents and guardians educate their children.

Imagine Lincoln is open to all children living in Prince George’s County, and it is tuition-free. In order to enroll your child at Imagine Lincoln, you must apply through our online lottery process.

The online lottery application form for school year 2012-2013 is now available. To apply for enrollment, please click this link. The online application form will remain open through March 31, and the lottery will be held on April 6. All parents/guardians will receive letters informing them of each child’s status (accepted or wait-listed) beginning the week of April 16.
