Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO)

All members of the Imagine Lincoln Public Charter School community strive to be models of good character, upholding the vision of the school’s core values and communicating this vision through positive interactions with students, staff members, parents, and others. One of the most visible displays of this interaction involves family and community member participation in the parent-teacher Organization (PTO).

Like most schools, Imagine Lincoln maintains an active PTO as a way to provide the families of our students with a voice to speak on behalf of every child and the best tools to help their children be safe, healthy, and successful — in school and in life. The mission of the Imagine Lincoln PTO is to establish and nurture a close relationship between the parents, teachers, and students by advancing opportunities in the home, school, and community of the school.

Here is the list of current PTO officers and board members:

2010-2011 PTO Board Members

  • President –  Shanita Burney
  • Vice President –  Kalandra Keith
  • Treasurer –  Earline Ford
  • Secretary – Tamara Williams

The PTO provides assistance to teachers in classroom settings, raises funds for supplemental educational materials and experiences, supports school and family social interaction, and provides a non-biased forum for sharing information on issues that impact our children. It is our belief that the team effort of a parent-teacher Organization offers the best possible learning environment for our children.
